About J.Z. Star Flooring

J.Z. Owner/operator, Jaime Zagazeta, founded J.Z. Star Flooring. He worked in white collar jobs for over a decade. As a young 19-year-old father, Jaime worked full-time and went to school full-time to provide for his family and build a better future for them.

Jaime has been involved in giving exceptional customer service since he was a teenager and paid his way through college working as a server and bartender at high-end restaurants. The restaurant business provided Jaime with a hands-on customer service experience that college could not offer. Eventually, he obtained an MBA and worked in various middle management and advertising sales positions.

During the 2007-2008 financial crisis, Jaime was laid off and moved back to Fort Lauderdale from San Francisco. Consequently, this was a very humbling experience which saw Jaime work for his brother-in-law at his flooring business. Jaime quickly learned the trade and enjoyed bringing joy to his customers, through flooring, and set out to become an entrepreneur.

Jaime's ability to make people feel valued is very genuine. He has carried this passion throughout his professional career and now employs an almost obsessive customer-centric approach to growing his business. J.Z. Star Flooring has a beautiful new showroom meant for one-on-one interactions between customers and team members. The company's flooring technicians and installers work almost exclusively for J.Z. Star Flooring and have over 15+ years’ experience. What's more, they are known for providing the same consistent customer service that all team members present.

Whether it's high-end residential mansions and condos, commercial flooring jobs, or just two rooms of carpet, we treat every customer as a house guest. More importantly, we treat clients with dignity, respect, and the focus that’s needed to provide the best possible solutions, without aggressive sales tactics. We believe that good communication and follow-up with our customers is just as important as the sale.
