Just because something works hard doesn’t mean it’s high maintenance or lacks design. With waterproof floors, you get it all, from the ultimate peace of mind to the high end and realistic look of wood, stone, or tile. You can have all the latest trends, such as the gray wood to marble bath floors or even encaustic tile looks. If you’re looking for waterproof floors in Fort Lauderdale, there’s only one place to come: J.Z. Star Flooring.
What’s the difference between waterproof and water-resistant?
Constructed of entirely watertight materials, one is impervious to liquid from both the top and the bottom. That means you can spill on it or submerge it, and it will never soak through. Water-resistant can repel water, but there’s still a chance of soaking, which can result in staining, peeling, and rippling.
Engineered luxury vinyl
Waterproof flooring is luxury vinyl (LVF) with a different core, SPC (stone plastic composite) or WPC (wood plastic composite). While all LVF is 100% waterproof, these cores give an even higher protection level, no matter how much, or how long, the floor has been submerged or spilled on.
Just like LVF, images are inspired by nature; with wood looks, you’ll see knots, grains, swirls, and wormholes. Stone echoes will show vivid colors and veining variations. Tiles come in brilliant colors and patterns, such as graphics, herringbones, encaustics, and more. A particularly excellent design option is that the material can be cut into planks to mimic hardwood or square, groutable pieces to echo stone and tile. Many feel the extra seams of these cuts add even more to the realism.
